Course Description:
Almost everyone struggles with a bad habit or addiction such as drinking too much, too much screen time, not enough exercise, overeating, procrastination, and so on. With the right set of tools you can establish healthier habits for your patients and yourself. In this free 1 hour webinar taught by Richard Lam, LMFT, we will teach you a step-by-step approach to create healthier habits using cognitive behavioral therapy for overcoming tempting thoughts and situations.
You will learn:
1. How to identify tempting situations and tempting thoughts
2. Tools to overcome resistance to change
3. Techniques to create healthier habits

Learning Objectives:
Following completion of the webinar, you will be able to:
1. Identify tempting situations and tempting thoughts
2. Describe the Devil's Advocate technique for challenging tempting thoughts

This is an asynchronous (pre-recorded) webinar. In order to obtain CE credit you must pass (70% or higher) the knowledge test and complete the CE survey.

Instructor Bio:
Richard Lam is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Mountain View, California. He a graduate of Palo Alto University. He currently provides short-term therapy for anxiety, OCD, habits/addictions, depression, and relationship concerns using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Richard also trains other therapists in David Burn's model of CBT called TEAM Therapy. He is a certified Level 5 Master Therapist and Trainer in TEAM-CBT Therapy.
